The vast majority presented in our portfolio film is filmed and edited by Yoeri. He has produced (underwater) films since 2003, while Nicola entered the realm of film production as a scriptwriter and assistant director in 2011 (EU's resource grabIm Rohstoffrausch). Since 2022, she has applied her knowledge and skills as a photographer to all film productions as the second camera operator, director, and scriptwriter (About us).

Besides directing, filming, and editing our productions, our work has been used in numerous promotional films, documentaries for conservation programs, productions for NGOs, and educational as well as travel programmes for German, Dutch, Swiss, Egyptian, and Philippine broadcasting companies. Most of these contributions can't be shared publicly (anymore). Other productions are licensed or copyrighted.

WOW! The nature film

Yoeri provided underwater footage for EMS Films in support of their initiative to film the natural wonders of the Caribbean Netherlands. Together with 360º of Innovation they created WOW! Dutch Caribbean islands as you have never seen them before. Each of the six islands gets a documentary, while a cinema production binds them all together. Our footage made it into the teasers (St. Eustatius, Saba and more to come), raising awareness and support the fundraising. The main filming is scheduled for 2024. Since we believe in the importance of nature education, we are ambassadors for WOW! on Statia.

Alternatively, you can watch the beach clean-up for turtle conservation directly on Facebook. The event was funded by Diergaarde Blijdorp / Zoo Rotterdam, more precisely by the visitors of the zoo who decided to donate the deposit of their plastic bottles to sea turtle conservation on St. Eustatius.
Thank you!

The clean-up was organised by STENAPA. 54 volunteers collected more than 200 kg of plastic, including lots of micro-plastic, on Zeelandia Beach, one of the prime nesting beaches for sea turtles on Statia. How plastic causes problems for nesting sea turtles, explains Eleanor Butler, Marine Park Manager, in the clip.

Junior Ranger Exchange Event on Statia 2022

Dive into nature and explore St. Eustatius (Statia) on land and underwater. The Junior Ranger Exchange Event on Statia, Caribbean Netherlands, offered an experience of environmental education like no other. Between July 30th and August 5th 2022 Junior Rangers from Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, St. Eustatius, and St. Maarten came together to learn all about the unique biodiversity within the Dutch Caribbean, and develop positive, cooperative and social skills. The main theme for this event by the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA) and its member organisations was “Ecosystem Services and How They Support Us All”.

As you can see, the Junior Rangers enjoyed an exchange full of nature experiences (what they liked and learnt in particular). Activities ranged from identifying marine and terrestrial flora and fauna, snorkeling and hiking in our island ecosystems, to kayaking through mangroves (not part of the clip as this happened on St. Maarten). For the final exhibition the junior rangers created posters introducing the interested public to different ecosystems, key species and how we all benefits from various ecosystem services. The base of an ecosystem is the food web consisting of producers, consumers, and decomposers. High biodiversity, large number and variety of species, serves best for the ecosystems of each island. Marine and terrestrial ecosystems fulfil a variety of functions and services, also to humans.

Our collections and short film series

Around the world

Wherever we lived for longer, we are called to capture some impressions, ideally a part of the spirit of each (diving) location. What do you see when you follow us around the world to Sulawesi (Indonesia), Visayas (Philippines), Long Island (Andaman Islands, India) and St. Eustatius (Caribbean Netherlands)?

These playlists add a different dimension to our filming and editing work. We proudly present our own productions from around the world. For a full deep dive, visit our YouTube Channel and browse through the stories featuring film work on our blogs (see list below).
